A2ZHire ("we", "us") operates a marketplace connecting customers with skilled workers. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, phone number, and password (stored as a secure hash) when you register.
  • Profile information: for workers, this includes your headline, bio, skills, hourly rate, portfolio links, and service area.
  • Location data: your city, state, address, and — with your permission — GPS coordinates, used to match you with nearby workers or customers.
  • Payment information: payout details (bank account or UPI ID) for workers, and payment records processed through Razorpay. We never store your card numbers.
  • Usage data: bookings, messages, reviews, and interactions with the platform, used to operate the service and improve matching.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To connect customers with workers, process bookings, and facilitate secure escrow payments.
  • To verify worker identities and maintain trust and safety on the platform.
  • To send booking notifications, updates, and service emails (via Mailgun).
  • To power the AI assistant, which can search services and manage bookings on your behalf when you use it.
  • To resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations including India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.

3. What We Share

  • With other users: your public profile (name, photo, headline, rating, reviews) is visible to customers. Your exact address and phone number are only shared with the other party after a booking is confirmed.
  • With payment processors: booking payments are processed by Razorpay under their privacy policy.
  • We never sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Security

  • Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text.
  • Payout details are stored securely and are never visible to customers.
  • Payments are held in escrow and released only on confirmed job completion, protecting both parties.

5. Your Rights

  • You can access and update your account information at any time from your dashboard.
  • You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@a2zhire.com.
  • You can disable location sharing at any time in your browser or device settings.
